What's Nurses for Newborns?

Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee exists to provide a safety net for families most at-risk of infant mortality, child abuse and neglect; medically fragile babies; mothers with medical, mental health, or substance abuse concerns; and teen parents needing assistance. NFN nurses conduct assessments of newborns and mothers, educate on infant care and critical milestones, promote a positive parenting approach and connect families to needed early interventions and resources.

Why Spread Cheer?

The holiday season can be a difficult and expensive time for many people, especially pregnant or new moms experiencing complications and hardships. In addition to the services we provide for our clients throughout the year, we want to be able to spread some cheer with you during the month of December to help our families feel cared for.

What's in the Winter WonderBox?

We've gathered a list of self care items for moms and caregivers and developmentally appropriate toys for their infants or soon to be toddlers from our clients. Each Winter WonderBox will be a 15-16 qt. plastic storage container with:

  • Mug
  • Tea
